Linkin Park Plans To Announce Something This Week After Countdown Clock Revealed Nothing

Last week, Linkin Park shared a mysterious countdown clock on their social media accounts and on their website. On Wednesday (August 28), that countdown clock reached zero and…nothing happened and nothing new was announced. There were rumors that Linkin Park was going to announce a reunion tour with a new singer revealed to replace the late Chester Bennington, but when the clock anticlimactically struck zero, the band didn’t share any new revelations and the clock hilariously just started counting back up again, much to the frustration of the group’s fans.

It now appears like the band will make their big announcement at a Los Angeles event for fan club members on Thursday, September 5. Last Thursday (August 29), Linkin Park shared a post on X, writing, “Be part of something. September 5th,” alongside a link to their website. Linkin Park Underground members with an active Passport Plus membership were invited to RSVP to the 9/5 event in Los Angeles, which will take place in the afternoon. Tickets will be randomly assigned to those who RSVP’d. (Stereogum
