Jesse Malin Shares New Single “Argentina,” While Fred Armisen And Jim Jarmusch Join Benefit Show Lineup

While Jesse Malin was undergoing rehabilitation from his spinal stroke in Buenos Aires, the beloved New York City singer/songwriter wrote a brand new song “Argentina,” which he shared on Friday (October 25). Malin announced the release of his new single in an Instagram post, which he captioned: “Not only is this the first song I’ve written and recorded in a very long time, it’s also one of the most personal ones. Far away from home and not wanting to fade away, I was holding onto my guitar and trying to keep my head up. The song is dedicated to the nurses, doctors, and physical therapists who give themselves so selflessly to help people in need. I can’t thank them enough.”

Two benefit shows for Malin’s Sweet Relief Fund have been planned for December 1st and 2nd at the Beacon Theatre, with Fred Armisen, Jim Jarmusch, Rickie Lee Jones, Eugene Hutz, and Adam Weiner joining already announced musicians Lucinda Williams, Jakob Dylan, the Hold Steady, J Mascis, Adam Duritz, and Alejandro Escovedo.
